Yeah, I wrote a rant recently about how I'm not the biggest fan of the idea of the president of COP28 being a part of a petrostate's ruling class and CEO of its national oil company. Seems to me that petrostates and oil companies have done a pretty nice job of hijacking the climate control process. Their goal is, in addition to slowing down the process of eliminating fossil fuels as much as possible, owning the resources of replacement.
