Wow, quite the clickbait headline.
Nobody defends the Taliban. Nobody. Anywhere, except maybe other Taliban. Defending Biden (or not) is not the same as suddenly siding with the Taliban.
Also, there are differences between the Taliban and ISIS, and you should know them, and if you do, you are deliberately ignoring them in order to gain a few more Medium views.
The difference between the two is that ISIS-K wants a large transnational emirate, whereas the Taliban is focused on Afghanistan.
One commonality - ISIS and the Taliban were created by American, mostly Republican, policy. If the United States would just butt out of the affairs of that part of the world, groups like ISIS would have no sway over the millions of unemployed men who are products of American and European foreign imperialistic policy.
It all goes back to colonialism. You know this. I've read enough of your stuff to know that you know this. But a clickbait headline is more important to you than addressing imperialism and the power politics designed by the likes of Hans Morgenthauu and expressed by Republican neocons during the last 30 years, policies that Democrats have pretty happily played along with.
I really liked it better when your articles used to engage with the core reasons for the existence of groups like the Taliban and other vestiges of European and American colonial policies that have decimated so much of the world.
