Wow, I sure hope so. That's what America is supposed to be. Back before the pandemic hit when I was walking downtown during one of those Friday art walk things in Round Rock Texas, I marveled at the diversity of people. It was a beautiful thing. And I thought, "Whatever those people are afraid of," and you know what I mean by "those people", had already happened. I was a minority. In Round Rock Texas, of all places, I was thinking at the time.

It put a smile on my face. I don't want a world of Stepford Wives. I want the influx of cultures, diverse views, music, and thought that comes from the kinds of diversity too many in my demographic seem strangely unwilling to embrace.

I love the comparison to the Whigs. I've been thinking of the Know Nothings (I may be misremembering the exact name), too, lol.
