When I was in a recovery program years and years ago, there were a lot of people with all kinds of issues, including body issues, in our group therapies, and one great line I heard one woman say to another was, "Girl, if I was using my hands on you the way you use your own thinking on you, you'd have two black eyes."

This society makes us really hard on ourselves. The love your kids have for you is all you need to know about who you are.
