What America needs much more than another Bernie Sanders run for president is a deep bench of progressives. This country is so far away from that.

And every time we've made a little progress over the last 50 years, the far right finds a way to destroy it.

A thousand cheers to him for refusing to give up. But I look at the political landscape today and I don't see a way forward. The best we can hope for is a choice between a borderline totalitarian Christian dictatorship and a corporatist government that would make Ayn Rand blush.

Obviously, I'll take Ayn Rand's blush, but damn.
