My dad's side is pretty empty, so I can relate to the empty leaves. My mom's side was full, too.

I actually find the empty side of things more interesting. Why would my dad's be so barren? It stops at his father. There's literally no information about my grandfather's lineage. My dad claimed Cherokee lineage, but that has become such a cliche that I don't believe it and he's not around to ask more. He did have jet black hair though, and the line stops at my grandfather. Hmmm...
