Well, I hear you and I appreciate the viewpoint. As for goat and hero, it’s probably not that black and white. We actually should get a LITTLE credit for staying out of a big war, which haunted the generations before us. Yeah, we had Vietnam and that ridiculous, illegal invasion of Iraq, and we joined the rest of the major powers in trying to figure out how to govern Afghanistan for some reason — a nation that appears to be catnip for world powers.

But we nevertheless established that a world war is catastrophic, and not even Reagan or Trump was willing to break that. And there were certainly boomers represented on yesterday’s climate change report, considering it was a study of more than ten thousand research papers of various ages.

And a lot of the notions about the things young people are outraged about — racism and civil rights in general, are products of the 70s. That’s when the roots were grown.

The biggest fail has really been on the economy. It’s not too late to salvage things there.
