Well done, thanks! I've always struggled with my urges on compound sentences. Sometimes I even do a search for "and" when I'm in final edit mode. That's how bad it is.

Regarding polysyndeton, I've never been a big Hemingway fan, so I can see how much of this can be subjective. My favorite use of polysyndeton has always been Ray Bradbury, who had a poetic tilt to his writing along with the occasional polysyndeton.
