I think that old way of thinking that so many old line evangelicals rely on suggests that they find that God has very limited capabilities.

If we have to scream for his attention, that suggests that he is quite a bit less powerful than they say he is.

My own personal experience has been that he has been there when I have been most reluctant to reach out to him.

When I've rejected him, he's found ways to reel me back in.
