This is sort of the climate change article I wish I had the patience to write. Really, really well researched. I wish it would get front and center, because what the oil industry has done has been catastrophic.

It's true that since this story appeared, some court actions have begun that are taking the same approach as states took toward the tobacco companies, but the oil companies have many more resources and lawyers than big tobacco did, so color me skeptical. We need broad public agreement that the oil companies should be held accountable, and this article goes a long way to achieving that.
