This has been a rough four years. The man has done extreme psychological damage to the entire country.

Even to his supporters, whom he has taken extreme advantage of in his daily acts of mendacity.

For those of us who watched in horror from the beginning, those days when Joe Scarborough was giving him free daily television exposure, allowing him to roll over his 20 (or however many it was) primary opponents, it has been a very trying time.

I say that even though our personal financial situations may even have improved some.

Didn't matter. It's been a horror show.

But I now, somehow, have finally succeeded at putting him on IGNORE.

The electoral process has proven to be a surprisingly good one. Trump's attempts to wreck it have been fruitless precisely because it is a disparate system, run by county officials in states that themselves have their own independent systems.

I remember when Trump won by getting 70,000 votes more than Hillary in a total of three states and I told myself that the Russians did it. They hacked our elections.

Well, I was wrong. They didn't. Trump really did win. Fair and square.

Oh yeah, sure, the Russians played havoc with our social media, but that's on us, really, at the end of the day.

The electoral system itself has proven to be surprisingly good (other than, of course, the fact that we still have the abominable electoral college).

These days, when I bother posting a story about Trump, I treat him with the respect he deserves, and I do it with silly humor.

I have no respect for the man. He's a lonely, bitter old man at the end of the road.

Some will say he's prepping for a 2024 run.

Good luck with that. By the time 2024 comes along, he'll be drooling on himself in Rudy mascara-colored saliva. Probably in a New York prison.

He's finished.
