There's an old Bugs Bunny cartoon where Bugs is in a train caboose of a sitting train. He looks out the window to see another train barrelling towards his train on the same track.

So Bugs, like the great American he is, does what most Americans are doing now. He looks alarmed for a moment, then snaps the blind of the caboose window shut so he doesn't have to deal with what's about to happen.
