The Trump wing of the party is led by guys who are known to be crazy. Kevin McCarthy and Jim Jordan are true pieces of work, and Scalise is mind-bendingly stupid.

But I think also that Trump has something on each of these guys. We already know that Jim Jordan cheered on while his school's wrestling coaches abused kids. Trump probably knows about more.

And McCarthy is exactly the kind of guy who probably has a closet full of interesting memories.

It is the only rational explanation. And since they are the "leaders" of the party, the others fall in line, like the rats that they are.
