The homes in the photo have an English vibe and probably are from the UK but the story is told from the perspective of someone who gets almost everything wrong. That's kind of the point. A modest subdivision is labeled McMansions, the mothers living there are called trophy wives. Living in Georgia, I know people who think like this.
