The 80s were that way. I just watched Eye of the Needle (because Donald Sutherland), and although the lead actress portrays the hero of the movie, she has to tolerate a little borderline sexual assault by Sutherland's "Needle" with her eyes closed, knowing Needle had just killed her husband.

I mean, seriously, after I was done watching that scene, I had to put a bandaid on the bottom of my chin because my jaw hit the floor.

Also, Back to the Future never quite resonated with me, aside from Christopher Lloyd, who, to my mind, rescued it. The incestuous connotations were always kinda gross, but the whole thing seemed like a celebration of 12 year old boys establishing dominance, which is not something I really want to see.
