Thanks! We are very much on the same page. I'd say my novel is not really truly dystopian, because it is set far in the future well beyond ours and the characters are people I would hope people would cheer for, and, spoiler alert, it has a happy ending.

I am also not personally dystopian in my thinking. I believe a reckoning is around the corner for these people. Problem is, they know it, and they hold most of the cards, so we'll see what happens.
