Thanks John, I always enjoy your perpective. It's not pocket change, but this country can afford it. The U.S. doesn't do enough to help struggling families. Keep in mind that the U.S. college debt servicing industry is pretty dastardly. If you have any family members who have been subjected to it, you'll know what I mean.
I also question Biden's authority, but unfortunately for opponents, there are few who can establish any standing in court to challenge it. The usual suspects (Texas, etc), have no standing and won't be able to file a suit against it.
Overall, my opinion about this kind of thing is pretty simplistic: help out the more downtrodden among us, and not worry about the cost. There are plenty of opportunities to make budget cuts.
