Thanks, I appreciate the feedback and read. I wrestled with that question a bit, and decided to risk an accusation or two in favor of speaking out on the overall issue.
I believe some or even most of what makes Walker a "despicable" candidate is his disease. Everything points to CTE as having extremely debilitating effects on cognitive capabilities and judgement.
I love Fetterman, but if I lived in Pennslyvania and Fetterman had the kinds of accusations made against him Herschel has in regards to domestic violence, I wouldn't vote for him.
He doesn't face those kinds of accusations.
So for me, Walker being accused of the kind of behavior that scientific studies have established are caused by CTE changed the equation enough to write the story. As the story points out, it isn't just a majority of tested NFL players who tested postive for CTE. It was 99 out of 100.
Mental health and/or braiin illness is tricky. We can't discriminate or attack people for being victims of it, but they also can't hold positions of power. It's kind of a full stop for me.
Biden's issues have been pretty well explained as a stuttering issue he's had since he was a kid. People who see a decline in mentual acuity are simply wrong. He's the same Biden he's been for years. That said, I think presidents, because of the enormous power they wield, should undergo more extensive testing for mental acuity than they currently do. Especially given the fact that Americans don't seem capable of electing people under 70 these days. That may seem ageist, but I'm in my 60s, so I don't much care if people accuse me of it, lol.
Thanks again.
