Richard Cory is an Easter Egg. You found it! Although the factory reference within the story applies to the Simon & Garfunkle song of the same name. The S&G song was inspired by the poem.

I didn't include a lot of Easter Eggs in this novel. I had a lot more in my first novel, MagicLand.
