Thanks for this. You nailed it. I'll add, if you don't mind, that unfortunately, I don't think the most hardened among them are interested in voluntary recruits to Chrisitianity. Their model is more like Gilead in an Atwood novel, or Iran. They aren't interested at all in anything Jesus Christ had to say.

They believe that a white Christian state must be imposed upon the nation in order to save their deformed version of Christianity (they would laugh at your correct assumptions).

Some of them (such as Marjorie Taylor Greene and Michael Flynn) are actually saying so openly now that the cancer of the Trump cult has metastasized across so much of evangelical Christianity.

On the bright side, there is a growing leftist church movement.
