I love soccer moms. I know many. I think I made clear in my article that I was not disparaging them.

My point was this: Depending on their vote to swing the Democrats way every election is dangerous. It's fair to say that depending on any one group is dangerous, but the soccer mom vote tends to be somewhat of a swing vote.

The WPA employed 8.5 million people. That's not a handful. It also accomplished many, many things.

Your other points are interesting but a bit beyond the scope of this story. Thanks again.
