Thanks for the read and the great comment. Re: Paul, I don't think we diverge, really. That's why I pointed out that many scholars point to later scribes changing the text. I agree, too, with your take regarding what Paul was addressing. He did this frequently, such as when he visited the Greeks and wrote letters specific to their situation (I guess, really, he did this with everyone.). I could have been more clear on these points, for sure.
