Thanks for the comment. I've seen the reports you talk about, too. I work with Ukrainian civilians on a remote basis who are dealing with electricity rationing and artillery strikes. For me, the inconvenience is the occasional interruption in Zoom meeting availability. For them, the inconveniences are quite a bit more severe. It puts things in perspective in my spoiled American eyes.

What is most concerning is that Russia has historically been able to continuously withstand long wars of attrition. We don't really know how that works, though, when they are the invaders - usually, it is invaders of Russia who have to deal with these things. I hope this doesn't bog down into a WW 1 type of scenario where both sides are just hemmed into trenches dodging artillery shells.
