Thanks for reading and commenting! Yes, the end game of racism and/or ethnic hatred has played itself out in some historically awful ways. In my opinion, the holocaust was the worst of them, but slavery is up there, for sure.

When I was a kid, I received weekly magazines, heavy with illustrations and photographs, about WW2 by an outfit called Marshall Cavendish (sp?).

They did not shy away from the graphics concerning concentration camps. They were a haunting site for a 10-11 year old boy to see. You can't really get that stuff out of your head, ever.

And yet, as bad as it was to see, I think all kids should have to see it.
