Six years ago, almost to this day, the inventor of the World Wide Web wrote a similar message about decentralization.

When many of us were clicking hyperlinks on gray, static pages many, many years ago, we were concerned that a few companies would gobble up the web. I suspect you were one of those.

I'd love to see you write more often here — there's a large community of ideas on Medium, despite the rise of AI-generated articles, because I'm pessimistic that control can be wrested from the powerful entities that have taken over the web, and the internet more generally.

I'd love to have that pessimism countered.
