Shane Waldron has been a disaster. Very disappointing, as he came in with high expectations. Last week they ran the following plays from first and goal:
Three runs up the middle with their speed back instead of their power back, with a lightweight split end blocking a defensive end on at least two of those plays.
On fourth and one, he ran a speed option runnning play to the left end for about a ten yard loss and loss of downs.
The first three games have been that kind of garbage play calling so far. On top of that, the OL has been abysmal. Caleb is getting no protection at all, just like Fields.
He managed 360+ yards last week anyway, using duct tape and bailing wire.
