Over the last 40 years or so I've often wondered about the accuracy of inflation measurements. We all see this stuff - the cost of housing, the cost of education, the cost of healthcare, even the cost of new cars, but they don't seem to be getting a true measure by government statistics.

You youngin's out there probably don't know that many of us had employer-paid healtchare without the ridiculous deductibles we have now. The change in that structure is not measured.

Americans don't want change, though. They don't want to upend the capitalist system because they secretly believe they'll be one of the 1% someday.

The economy is based on a huge lie. Your chances of getting rich, even if you work like crazy, are no better than winning your local Mega Pot of Gold Lottery.
