One day just before the pandemic hit I was in downtown Round Rock, Texas, a town of about 100,000.

I was walking around at night during a festival there and the crowd I was mingling with looked like an ad for the United Nations.

Round Rock. Texas. Not New York City.

And I thought, "whatever these yahoos are afraid of has already happened."

Abbott can try all he wants. He's lost whatever war he thinks he's waging.

The saddest part is that he's blind to the best part of what I saw: Diversity is awesome.
