No, I never found out. The only thing I really found out was that both the grandma and the mother were extremely abusive. I don't think the dad was towards the kids, but was towards the mom. So that's probably why he had the heart to carry me home.

It was a pretty rough neighborhood anyway from a parental abuse standpoint. Local neighborhood friends getting slugged and punched was pretty common. Silence among us was pretty much the order of the day. Thanks for the question and the read!
