My favorite will always be Blade Runner, probably for Roy's "tears in the rain" monologue. I can see how non-movie aficionados might think the cinematography was over the top there, but visually, it's just about my favorite scene of all time, and Hauer delivered it beautifully. Also, all the other reasons you listed. I was not aware that Hauer wrote that!
