McAuliffe was a terrible candidate. For one thing, Virginians like their one term governors. Strike one.

Second, he's a Clintonista. That's not going to bring out a lot of voters in today's world. Strike two.

For another, he's a dumbass. And I say that with the highest respect I can muster. Strike three.

I walk a lot here in urban Atlanta and I overheard two different people chatting with their walking partner about how dumb people are.

That seems to be a common sentiment that everyone on both sides is carrying around.
