Liz was too much of a know it all woman. That's a sick, sick fact of American life.
I don't know how we get past that, except to see more of them rise, which takes time.
I look at her as incredibly gifted. And I'm annoyed she hasn't been chosen for a major cabinet position. Unless she's perhaps told Joe she'll be of better service in the Senate, which she really might be. She really is a pretty fantastic Senator.
There is such a base of ignorance that loathes wonkishness, and when it comes from a woman, the misogyny rips away what little of her message breaks through.
Bernie almost broke through with his message, but he got clobbered in the South. Of course.
But at least, as you say, it will be a graceful White House, one that won't assault us on a daily basis with its mendacity.
