I've seen enough Doctor Who episodes to understand the appeal. Even though I'm a big sci-fi fan, the appeal for me sort of ebbs and flows depending on a variety of things. There are several Doctors I've liked a whole lot, but some not so much. It's all about personal appeal, I think. And I don't know the canon well at all.

Its staying power has been amazing. I can't imagine many shows being able to get away with changing the main character like they do, but I guess the clever device for doing so helps. The new guy seems cool. I saw the Joy to the World episode over the holidays.

I haven't seen any of the female Doctor episodes! I'll have to look for those.
