I've enjoyed Angel Studio's production of The Chosen enough that I was hopeful they weren't also dabbling in fundamentalist garbage. I can't quite tell from this review if that's what they're doing, but in general, I steer away from modern American Christian messaging because it's usually anathema to Christ's actual teachings.

Neal McDonough is usually a fun villain, though!
