It's hard for white folks to understand the depravity involved with racism. Not just slavery, but its aftermath. White folks can't possibly understand what it was like to go through it.

So if something seems like an overreaction, the first thing we should do is ask "Why is this a problem?"

Understand it. It's always better to err on the side of letting the "overreaction" stand. This is the price we must pay as white people until a full healing has taken place.

It's overreaction to us. It obviously is not to those who are offended.That's not about being woke. It's about being heard.
