It's a bit of mass media myth that vice presidents are automatic front runners or likely winners of the next Prez sweepstakes.

Being VP isn't even a guarantee of winning a nomination. See chart: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_vice_presidents_who_ran_for_president

Four years is a long time. Kids who were 14 when Biden was elected will be voting. That's a big number of new voters who will be even less tolerant of racism, misogyny, and the other current sick obsessions of the Republican Party.

Have you ever seen a person under 25 react to someone who speaks in a way that even remotely hints of racism or gender bias? They look at that person like they're from another planet (this doesn't include the small subset of crazed neo-nazis and 4channers).

What kind of stuff are these kids saying these days?

They're saying stuff like, "Kemp (the Georgia Governor) is taking away our unemployment because he wants us to work for NOTHING wages while getting yelled at by crazed restaurant owners". Yes, I hear and read stuff like that, and it isn't just occasionally.

These are people who want significantly higher wages, who are tired of current housing and educational costs, and don't want to spend their days working for a pittance for abusive employers.

These are our next set of voters. Meanwhile, the old farts (I get to say this because, I, too, am an old fart!) are dying off.

Kamala is an old style politician. Old style politicians are also dying off. Ironically, Trump helped with that. I'll give the Predator in Chief his due there. The next Democratic nominee, I think, is going to be young and dynamic. I'm looking forward to it.

On the other hand, don't underestimate her. She's crafty, intelligent, and driven. She may actually succeed in these tasks given her, whether that's Joe's intent or not.
