I'm with C Balcombe in the comments here. As I said in my response to him, where were Libertarians during the worst assault on our democracy since the civil war?
As a far left progressive I had lots of respect for libertarians during the Bush presidency because they were consistent - against the invasion of Iraq because they truly believe in as little government as possible.
But they lost legitimacy during the Trump era, which was a 4 year long Ayn Rand novel of capitalism run amok. Which is okay, if that's what you love. But to be silent in the face of depravity while you're getting your capitalist gains is immoral.
I'll agree that calling out libertarians as terrorists is a little silly, but it's hardly anything to get your panties in a bunch over. If you're left of Ronald Reagan you get called a communist. Hell, a pedophile by QAnon (many of whom are libertarians - visit North Georgia to see what I mean).
You stop the crazy on your side, and we'll see what we can do on ours. But you first.
