I'm way more left wing than Obama, but it isn't realistic to expect any of that to see the light of day on a national level, so for presidential candidates I, too, focus on pragmatism.

What I loved most about Obama was his demeanor and sense of humor. I'd vote for him 50 more times if I could, lol.

I miss Obama, too, but I also miss arguing 1980s and 1990s style with my conservative friends, who often had great points I didn't consider.

When I lived in Chicago I had two good friends who both worked in the finance industry. Die hard Republicans. We argued all the time. But it was fun, you know? They fed me knowledge and I think I even sometimes fed them a little, too. I miss that given and take.
