I'm not as worried about Trump as you are because I think he'll be in a federal penitentiary fairly soon, but I sure as hell am not discounting any of this, either.

Trump is not just some daffy doodle making up yet more lies. It is an ongoing effort to stoke the flames of insurrection among his most extreme supporters, and I think it should be treated as such by the Justice Department.

Many would argue that, no, it's too dangerous a precedent for a president to go after a political opponent. But the dangerous precedent was Trump.

It actually started with his Obama birther lies. He's been at it ever since.

He needs to be imprisoned for the rest of his putrid life.
