I wish someone would do more studies on the general effects of smartphones on *everybody*, not just kids, but especially kids.

I want to know what it is about smartphones that creates an addiction to whatever a person is doing on them.

You like porn? Start checking out porn on the smartphone and it's all you'll do for a couple years. You like TikTok? Same. Video games on the phone? Check. Messaging your friends? You'll do it nonstop.

I'll never forget the time shortly after people started taking the masks off when I saw about six young adult women - maybe even younger (anybody under 50 looks like a teenager to me) all staring at their phones at a restaurant and not talking to each other whilst waiting for their food.
