I wish Julián Castro had run for Texas Governor. He would have had a real shot at winning. The real problem in both states is that the Dems have no bench. This happens in states with one party in firm control. Republicans have the same problem in California, NY, and to a lesser extent Illinois. The Republicans are no longer firmly in control of Georgia, but that is a very new phenomenon.
Polls have been very wrong lately, and I think they are missing the impact of women's loss of their basic human rights in SCOTUS's overturning of Roe. It adds another delta to the polling that I believe is being missed.
I think Abrams may pull it off. I doubt Beto will convince enough ranchers he's their man.
