I watched the first Star Wars when it was released in the theaters (age reveal!). I've seen all the movies since, of course, and enjoyed them all mostly.
But Andor ruined Star Wars for me. The writing was just too good. The acting too phenomenal. The storyline too compelling and analogous to our times.
Now, almost all Star Wars writing comes off to me as juvenile. I suppose it always was, but I never cared. It was just fun, campy space opera. All was good.
I got through two episodes of Ahsoka before giving up on it. This review makes me willing to give it another shot. Repeat to myself while watching: "It's not Andor, it's not trying to be. It's not Andor, it's not trying to be. And it stars Rosario Dawson, which is good!"
