I understand the fear - but I'd argue that gun laws don't affect their thinking much. They'll try to come to any city that holds the convention. They'll bring whatever guns they can.

I'm no gun advocate, but if they try to start something in Atlanta, they'll be badly outgunned and outnumbered. This is not a MAGA-friendly city.

I would guess the same is true in Chicago. Or any big city.

With 300 million guns on the streets, I'm pretty sure that liberals own a lot of them, and I know for a fact that Atlanta is full of gun owners who have a zero tolerance policy toward these goons.

Your overall point though, that MAGAts consider violence an acceptable solution, is not debatable. Jan 6 (among other things) proved it .

Storming the stadium with guns, though, IMO, isn't as likely as something like a car bomb, and I do hope that our security infrastructure overall is ready for that possibility.

In fact, is it a possibility? Or a likelihood?

Apologies if this sounds like a debate. It's not intended as such. I think the fact that these people have decided that violence is an acceptable solution needs to be taken very seriously.

The far right has a number of terrorist methodologies in their toolbelt. For instance:

They tried to kidnap a governor!

One of us should do an article on domestic terrorism. I vote for you because I will get too depressed researching all of that. You have a much stronger constitution than I do for reporting on these heathens. I hope you consider that a compliment, lol.
