I think the fact that the science that enables gender transition confuses older people like her and people in my generation. They don't understand that the same science that gives trans folks options is the same science that makes them need the options. So I guess a tiny part of me understands being a little confused by it all. But why is it a big deal to them?

I really just don't understand the obsession. Even forgetting that their actions are hurtful and bullying, what is so important about it that they need to yammer about it in the first place?
