I think the biggest reason I'm rooting for a positive conclusion to this, although time, apparently, is just about out as I write this, is that Sulaiman Dawood is Pakistani billionaire Shahzada Dawood's son.

He's a university student but still not yet 20. Old enough to say no, but young enough to be heavily influenced by his rich, bored, dad to the point he's willing to sit cross-legged inside a cramped ball of metal 13,000 feet under the sea, in a nearly windowless metal container where if your feet are too close to the portal they'll freeze. Was he really given all this info before he climbed aboard? Maybe, but still.

Also, Pakistan and the word "billionaire" seems awfully incongruent to me.
