I'm not here to make money as a writer. If I do it's a plus, but so far my monthly return barely covers my Medium subscription.

And that's really fine with me. It's a very nice platform for getting my voice out on the record through my articles and short stories, and maybe if I'm lucky it will help me sell a book or three.

The SEO is fantastic, so for writers, posting on Medium is a powerful SEO tool, IMHO.

I hope he doesn't give up the ship. It would be a nightmare if he sold the assets to another company, which would probably fold the platform into something awful.
