I think for sure there are clear differences. What I've noticed is that books like the one I referenced weren't really even on the market 20 years ago, and now they are.

But I also get your point. You should consider writing a Medium story to expound on those thoughts. I'd love to read it.

The other day I was talking to a woman who had Black, Portuguese and Mexican blood. That kind of thing is fairly common here.

Meanwhile, African Blacks are pouring into Atlanta (where I live) partly because it has such a thriving Black middle and upper class, along with the culture that comes with it.

Just the other day I was talking to an Uber driver from Senegal who told me he came here for the local movie business (in a support role, I think he said he was a part time gaffer or key grip person).

The week before, another Uber driver told me he had just finished a rap album. He was from Côte d'Ivoire.

And on and on it goes.
