I tend to use Photoshop for everything, but I've been using it since it was a little scanner utility called Barneyscan.
And frankly, I'm not a fan of AI because I consider it a big web scraping machine that borrows work without compensating people. But I make the exception for Midjourney because my view numbers aren't high enough to make me feel like I'm hurting illustrators.
I had a pretty cool vampire for my new novel that I generated for the book cover of the Beta read, but that only went to a handful of people. When I finally pushed the book out to Amazon, I nixed the vamp and did a different cover, in case the book does well.
