Biden is letting himself get handled by conservative doctrine, but so is the rest of the country.

This nation could probably absorb 50 million people from the south of the border without breaking a sweat.

If they were a little lighter skinned, people wouldn't think twice about it. It's rather disturbing.

The only real obstacle to allowing large numbers from an infrastructure standpoint is housing. But current immigrants are handling this problem organically by moving into small towns and snapping up cheap housing there. This, of course, really bothers some people ("That taqueria used to be a Denny's! The shame of it!! They're taking over our town!!!") .

The larger problem of both immigration and the current rise in housing costs could be solved by a Man to the Moon type of effort to build affordable housing.

Guess what? Never happening in this country. People are locked into conservative thinking because FOX News has brainwashed 40% of the nation into thinking immigrants are a threat.
