I really don't know her music at all, and I feel like I need to start listening to some of it. I imagine that the main reason Time chose her is because she's had a gargantuan effect on the music biz.

She has taken control of her music biz. She isn't beholden to record companies. SHE is in control.

This is a really, really big deal. The reason I know about it is that I read an article about her business accomplishments in the New Yorker or NY Times or some place like that.

She's also really easy to look at.

Also, if it pisses off conservatives, then call me a Swiftie!
